The star on this buckle is hand cut from a Cinco Peso Coin. It is the same coin used to make authentic "Texas Ranger" Badges. The Coin is a Mexican Coin made from 90% silver. This is the most authentic star we carry because it is the coin used to make Texas Ranger badges. When building the buckle, the rods on the buckle are woven like tapestry and measure in height at 3 7\8 and width 3 inches respectively. The entire piece is handmade so we get it as close as possible to these numbers. Then the star is soldered onto the buckle.  We charge an additional 5.00 per character to personalize in or around the star.
